Sr. Credit Risk Analyst (Government Loans)
The SR Credit Risk Analyst (Government) will be responsible for performing loan level reviews on all FHA,VA loan files randomly selected post endorsement audits. Reporting to the Department Manager, the analyst must be organized and detail-oriented with an ability to multi-task and manage to required timelines.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma Required; Associate or Bachelor’s College degree preferred . Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience and education that demonstrates the ability to perform essential job
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage Underwriting, Post closing, Quality control, or Auditing experience
  • Years of experience in position within the financial services industry ( skillset will be heavily weighted )
  • Previous experience with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA,VA, USDA, Compliance, Product management , or Risk experience is a plus
Job Duties:
  • The position requires an individual who can work within a team in a highly demanding environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Extracts and analyzes mortgage loan application , disclosures, and all loan documentation as it relates to loan products and final loan determination ( both AUS and Manual findings)
  • Reviews and interprets audit finding requests and familiarity with FHA, VA and USDA credit guidelines as it relates to underwriting defects
  • Compiles and reviews detailed package submissions before release to various entities ( FHA, VA, USDA)
  • Tracks all correspondence and communicates updates to various entities and internal levels of business
  • Responds to questions and submissions quickly and clearly (understands deviations from policy may have far-reaching impacts)
  • Ability to communicate Clear and Concise (written and verbal) response “rebuttals” to loan defects, deficiencies, and curative documentation resolution
  • Prepares ad-hoc reports as needed ( daily use of department SharePoint reports, managers discretion )
  • Supports other analysts and operational departments as required
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, other related products is a plus)
  • Ability to Multi-task, be highly organized and manage priorities within given timelines. Some job tasks are exposed to interruptions and prioritization skills are essential
  • Ability to be resourceful and seek out information from manager, co-workers and internal business partners
