Agility 360 is looking for qualified and experienced Underwriters in Plano, TX for our client, a growing non-bank lender/servicer. The underwriter will ensure that the assets reviewed meet all applicable investor guidelines, through a complete knowledge of requirements and regulations which they will be eld accountable for quality and accuracy of decisions.
Job Duties

The underwriter will ensure that the assets reviewed meet all applicable investor guidelines, through a complete knowledge of requirements and regulations which they will be eld accountable for quality and accuracy of decisions.
Job Duties
- Decisions full range of mortgage loans, preferably including FHA loans
- Review all mortgage applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Work with clients to prepare mortgage applications and related documentation as needed, help resolve any outstanding issues
- Work with compliance officers to ensure Federal, State, and local compliance of all mortgage and loan materials
- Approve or deny mortgages on a timely basis
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of each loan
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
- Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
Need to have a thorough understanding and experience in:
- Experience with underwriting to multiple lender guidelines and requirements
- Knowledge of Fannie Mae/DU and Freddie Mac guidelines and automated underwriting systems
- Critically examine credit, income and asset documents and review title policy and appraisals
- Min 3 years of mortgage underwriting experience required
- Solid knowledge of mortgage underwriting and of basic automated underwriting systems.
- Demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency with basic automated underwriting systems
- Knowledge of mortgage laws and regulations required, including Home Mortgage Disclosure Act
- Knowledge of state and federal agency mortgage loan guidelines and regulations helpful
- Organized and detail oriented
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Office Location: Tampa, Florida, St. Louis Missouri, Plano Texas
- Salary Range: $60,000 - $68,000
