Funding Manager - Irvine, TX

 

Agility 360 is searching for a Funding Manager for a direct hire position located in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of supervisory experience and a minimum of 8-10 years in a Funder/Closer position.
 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure documentation and funding activities comply with company policies and investor guidelines.
  • Stay current on regulatory and company changes affecting funding.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of mortgage, closing, funding, and TRID guidelines.
  • Support development of training programs and maintain clear departmental workflows.
  • Review wires as part of the dual-approval process.
  • Manage pipelines, focusing on lock expirations, CDs/COCs, PCCDs, and escrow disbursements.
  • Coordinate with Treasury on fundings and federal reference numbers.
  • Provide feedback for monthly title calls and monitor rush transactions and rejected tax payments.
  • Address and remediate compliance findings.
  • Lead loan‑level issue resolution and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Support staff as needed to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Hire, coach, and develop team members.
  • Oversee performance management, training, and ongoing development.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires all forms of dexterity/mobility which may include extended periods of sitting/standing. May occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, twist, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to speak and hear, lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.) or occasionally more.
  • May be required to drive for business purposes and must hold a valid driver’s license in good standing and maintain personal auto insurance in compliance with local or state requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally noisy, or distracting environment.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in Retail Residential Mortgage Closing/Funding or a related field.
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Solid knowledge of the residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending, including sales, operations, capital markets, and related products/services.
  • Foundational to intermediate understanding of regulatory and legal compliance requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Advanced experience with Conventional and Government loan products, including Streamlines and IRRRLs.
  • Advanced proficiency with Encompass.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills



Job Details:

  • Direct hire role with our growing client
  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $114,000/year (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Hybrid (M-Th: in office, F: remote)
  • Employment is contingent on passing a background check and drug screening
