Journeyman Electrician

Agility 360 is seeking an experienced and skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team of construction professionals. The position performs the installation and repair of complex electrical systems. The qualified candidate must demonstrate consistency, dependability, and willingness to work hard and take pride in their workmanship.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical component and system issues.
  • Test electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters.
  • Determine the steps necessary to access an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints, and maps.
  • Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring, or devices.
  • Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints.
  • Operate a variety of basic hand and power tools as directed by management.
  • Work cooperatively with a team to complete required jobs.
  • Work with peers and leadership to evaluate job requirements and cost.
  • Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned by construction management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • 2-3 years electrician experience/Completed electrician apprenticeship
  • A valid state Journeyman Electrician License is a plus
  • Proficiency with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes
  • Must have valid drivers license and registered vehicle
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to read a tape measure, working drawings and speed square.
  • Ability to add and subtract in all units of standard U.S. measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to operate air compressors, air tools, hammer, saw, drill, and other basic power tools
  • Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc.)
  • May require working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders, and stairs
  • Capable of performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to complete work on time with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work wells with others in a collaborative team environment
  • Willingness to travel to this and other job sites as necessary
  • Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned

  • Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 /hour
  • Travel may be required
