Description
Agility 360 is looking for qualified and experienced Application Developers for our client, a growing non-bank lender/servicer in DFW Area. The Application Developer will be responsible for support functions that require automation/systems development. This includes initial development and ongoing support of the suite of applications that would help manage pricing, trading, hedging, pooling, and shipping or other functions depending on the department. Additionally, this position will help support the existing suite of applications developed within the client. Proficiency with Open Source/LAMP stack and .NET skill sets that would support the current IT development path is required.

Responsibilities
  • Create complex, high quality, enterprise-transforming business applications
  • Use the latest tools and techniques ( Ruby/Rails, RSpec/NUnit, .NET, C#, Agile Methodologies, Web Services)
  • Use BDD/TDD techniques during development
  • Prepare software for deployment to production environments
  • Respond to and resolve questions and issues logged by users of a live system
  • Manage small projects independently and work as a team member on larger projects
  • Be part of diverse, high energy teams focused on full life-cycle development
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to conceptualize solutions
  • Experience with object-oriented analysis and design
  • Knowledge of design patterns, refactoring and unit testing
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, such as Extreme Programming (XP) and Scrum is helpful
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
  • Experience with Linux and open-source software
  • Financial services experience, especially related to mortgages and mortgage-backed securities, is desirable
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
